The PBY Catalina was an american flying boat of the 1930's and 1940's produced by Consolidated Aircraft.
It was one of the widely used multi-role aircraft of World War II.
PBY's served with every branch of the United States Armed Forces and in air forces and navies of many other nations.
During World War Ii PBY's were used in antisubmarine warfare, aptrol bombing, convoy escorts,search and rescue missions and cargo transport.
The PBY was the most successful aircraft of it's kind, no other flying boat was produced in greater numbers.
Even today, the aircraft continues to fly as an airtanker in aerial firefighting operations all over the World.
The China Pro 09 consists of a gorgeously painted fiberglass fuselage and built-up wings, spray painted to a very high standard.
Decals are pre-applied under the glossy paint finish.
The high precision fiberglass construction makes this kit an extremely realistic model.
