Description

Cutty Sark, this famous ship was launched on 22 November 1869 in Dumbarton, on the River Clyde, Scotland. It was designed to be the fastest Clipper and get every season the first to England with the loading of Chinese tea.
He is currently exposed in the Museum of Maritime Greenwich, fully restored and accessible to the public.
It contains the traditional construction kit. It's a boat of wood and metal, scale 1:115.
Hollow town with false keel and laser cut ribs. Parts pre-cut wood and brass turning, casting parts and photo etched brass for details.

Sewn sails set included in the kit. History its name comes from a poem by the Scottish poet Robert Burns, entitled 'Tam O´Shanter'.
When a witch in short Nightgown (Cutty Sark in Scots) chases Tam mounted on horseback to the bridge of the river Doon.
He chewed off bow shows the witch at arm's length, as the poem grabs the horse's tail before passing the bridge.
The Cutty Sark was intended for the transport of tea, very active at that time between London and China. He made his first journey in 1872, when I confronted the Thermopylae.
