Steering, Throttle and Steering Dual Rate digital trims are conveniently positioned around the wheel for easy access.
The nearby switch is for programming 3rd channel functions if needed.

The battery compartment is accessed through the transmitter's base, and can hold 4 "AA" batteries, NiMHs (such as the Futaba HT5F1800B) or a lithium pack (such as the LifeSource 6.6V 1900mAh 3C).
