Shipping & Returns

This store can not be held responsible should any problems occur with delivery once the goods have left our premises.
Mail Order is our Speciality !!!

Shipping Policy : Orders are usually shipped within 24 hours of receiving the proof of payment.
We understand that most orders are time sensitive and try to ship them as soon as possible.
Orders and proof of payment received before noon will be shipped the same day.
Orders and proof of payment received after noon will be shipped the following day.
If you need to make a change to your order please contact us as soon as possible.
Orders are shipped Monday through Friday during normal working hours.
Orders are not shipped on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
Ordering on Friday: If an order is placed Friday afternoon it may not be shipped until Monday morning.
Please take note of this in case there is a time concern.
For express shipments, please contact us.
If you are shipping to someone else at a different address it is important
that you contact them and let them know that a package is coming so that the
package is not refused or goes unclaimed.
You will not receive shipping charges back if a package goes unclaimed or if you provide an invalid shipping address.

We will ship via couriers (SAPO) and will e-mail you your waybill/tracking number.
Shipping costs will be on Proforma invoice shipping cost only an estimated shipping cost.
Our policy is to give the fastest possible service.
Postage for re-shipment will be the liability of the buyer.

Postal Losses
If items are lost or damaged on their way to you, we must await confirmation from the courier or postal service used that the parcel
was lost or damaged before we can resend items.
Placing a claim to have the value of the item refunded can take between 15 and 30 days.
We require written confirmation from the customer before any claim can be processed.
The best way of doing this is to send us an email outlining your order number along with your name and the delivery address.
In some cases we will not be able to despatch a replacement until this claim is complete.

Upon receipt of your order please check the contents carefully as shortages/discrepancies/damages must be notified within 48 hours of receipt.
Lagoon Hobbies will in no way be responsible for delays on shipment caused by South Africa Post Office strikes and or not delivering of parcels for some post office internal reasons

Dispatch Location: VREDENBURG WEST COAST or other location to expedite delivery , SOUTH AFRICA
A proforma invoice will be emailed with final payment information before Direct Bank payment must be made
when changing ordering options.

Delivery Information :
You will be informed on the day of shipment of the tracking number for your parcel.
The parcel will have to be collected at the post office. Shipping is done SAPO counter to counter, and will normally arrive within 3-5 days.

Should you wish to change the delivery from SAPO to either Speedservices/UTI or your preferred courier, we can waive the free shipping and request that you pay the additional amount across for whichever method you choose.
Just a note though : All Aeroplanes is normally shipped via SAPO as it is expensive to send via courier due to its volumetric weight.
Should you wish to change the shipping option, please send an email to orders"at"lagoonhobbies.co.za , straight after you have placed your order.
Your product will be dispatched as soon as this payment is reflected in our bank ACCOUNT.


Typical Shipping Time in South Africa
Most of the orders will be shipped via ordinary parcel mail.
Delivery takes 3-7 working days.
Speed Services Couriers is also offered as an optional extra, please request rates.
In the case of Speed Services the typical order will be delivered overnight after dispatch
The Post Office parcel post usually takes 3 to 5 days for delivery in South Africa
Customers are welcome to email or fax us their orders for quotes that will include the correct shipping cost.

Please make sure you have the product name and send us confirmation of your deposit for us to check payment in our bank statement via email: sales(at)lagoonhobbies.co.za (Replace at with @ when emailing us)

All items returned as new condition with packages still sealed as when sent within one week of receiving the goods will be refunded or exchanged or a gift voucher will be issued as per the wishes of the customer.
The customer will be responsible for round trip shipping expenses for the exchange or refund. * No Returns or Refunds will be accepted on any products unless damaged during shipping. Depending on Shipping agent Refund on our claim.
* Defective Items: If you have a defective product we will do everything we can to replace the product or get you replacement parts. Please keep in mind that any CRASH damage is not covered under our return or warranty policy. Your satisfaction with our products is a priority to us, and we work hard to ensure our customers have a great experience and fun with our products. Crash damage is not considered a defect under any circumstance. * By signing the Waybill on delivery of the products, the buyer accepts that the products are in good order and condition.
* In the unlikely event that components are missing from products, the missing components will be replaced at no charge.
The request for replacement must be made to Lagoon Hobbies within 3 business days of receipt of the product by the customer.
Charges may be levied to cover postage on items refunded.

Due to the nature of our products, once used they can not be returned (does not apply to defective items). For unused or defective products, we will exchange them for a different item of equal value, or refund per our return policy for up to 7 days after purchase. To qualify for exchange or refund the product must be brand new and unused. The customer will be responsible for round trip shipping expenses for the exchange or refund. All items purchased from Lagoon Hobbies are subject to the normal guarantees for that particular article as laid down by the Manufacturers/Supplier of particular item.

Lagoon Hobbies CC cannot provide guarantee/warranty support or services, Once assembly, setup or use of the Product has been started,Lagoon Hobbies CC will assist you in contacting your local distributor/manufacturer for support.

What is Not Covered
This guarantee is not transferable and does not cover
(i) cosmetic damage,
(ii) damage due to acts of God, accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, commercial use, or due to improper use, installation, operation or maintenance,
(iii) modification of or to any part of the Product,
(iv) attempted service by anyone other than a authorized service center appointed by Lagoon Hobbies CC,
(v) Product not purchased from Lagoon Hobbies/Supplier, or
(vi) Product not compliant with applicable technical regulations.

Guarantee Requirements For Guarantee consideration, you must include your original sales receipt verifying the proof-of-purchase date. Provided guarantee conditions have been met, Service or replacement decisions are at the sole discretion of Lagoon Hobbies CC/Distributor.

Price Commitment
At Lagoon Hobbies it our mission to bring you high quality model equipment at the lowest prices available. Lagoon Hobbies will source the product at the lowest price we can get to be able to assist the customer with the best price for the product. Only product prices will be eligable for this deal. No Specials or discounted prices.

Please note that all prices are quoted in South African Rands and include Value Added Tax (VAT). Inventory and Stock Status: It is our policy to show most items on our website in stock at all times.
If an item is backordered for a substaintial period of time we will post a message near the add to cart button. We recommend that you email or call us to verify inventory information if an item you wish to purchase is time critical. Our company offers real time order information using your account in the "My Account" link at the top right of our webpages. During normal business hours we update order status to inform you of any delay with your order. To obtain an update about your order you must login to your customer account on our website and click view/change order.

We make every effort to have correct pricing and the shipping costs will be emailed with proforma invoice. In the event that shipping and or pricing may not be accurate due to a typographical error or other system glitch, the correct details will be on the proforma invoice for you to check and make payment. We reserve the right to charge the advertised price listed on our website for your order, and or additional shipping charges if unpublished over sized fees apply or pricing errors occur during your checkout process. It is possible that an item placed on back order may have a manufacturer price increase before the order can be shipped.
We make no warranty or guarantee on prices for items back ordered or sourced from participating Hobby Shops. In the event a manufacturer/Hobby Shop raises a price on a back ordered item we will notify you about the price increase before the proforma invoice is sent.

Will I have to pay customs fees on my order?
Your order may be charged customs fees (taxes, duties, processing fees, brokerage fees, etc.)upon delivery.
Unfortunately, Lagoon Hobbies has no control over these fees.
Please contact your local customs office for more information.
The shipping charges you pay to Wonderland Models only cover shipping cost,
and do NOT include customs fees, import taxes, brokerage fees, or duties.
If payment of additional fees is refused at the time of delivery, the shipment will be returned to us.
At that point, we can refund your purchase price, not including shipping costs.
Lagoon Hobbies has no way of accurately calculating customs fees, taxes, duties, etc.
On rare occasions, your order may be delayed due to the customs process.
If your order takes more than two weeks to arrive from the moment you receive your shipment notification,
check with your local customs office to see if they are holding the package.
